Summer Camp
Build your child’s self-confidence this summer!
Benchmark Camp, for children in rising grades 1-6:
- Develops and maintains durable academic skills and strategies
- Builds confidence and competence
- Provides the best-loved recreation program in the area
The five-week program includes Benchmark's internationally recognized language arts program, executive function skills instruction throughout the day, design thinking activities, art, swimming, and sports.
In addition, we challenge and support our Benchmark campers as they take on our 35-event Confidence Course, which includes a 40-foot high, 250-foot long zipline.
All of these elements make it a summer filled with learning, creating, and fun!

2024 Summer Season
July 1-August 2, 2024
Full-DaY Program
8:15 a.m.-4 p.m.
Morning:
- 1 hour and 45 minutes of reading, writing, and executive function skills instruction
- 1 hour and 45 minutes of recreational activities
Afternoon:
- a full afternoon of recreation
The full-day program includes language arts and executive function skills instruction, an Innovation Lab session, and recreation in the morning, as well as an afternoon of sports, Confidence Ropes Course, art, gym, and swimming.
After-Camp Care is available from 4-6 p.m.
Half-Day Program
8:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Morning:
- 1 hour and 45 minutes of reading, writing, and executive function skills instruction
- 1 hour and 45 minutes of recreational activities
Campers visit two recreation stations each day and rotate among six stations during the week. The stations include the Innovation Lab, art, small group games, the Confidence Ropes Course, and many other activities.
Language Arts Only
8:15 a.m.-10 a.m.
or
10:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Morning:
- 1 hour and 45 minutes of reading, writing, and executive function skills instruction
Summer Math Tutoring
Benchmark Math Specialists are available for students in grades 1-8, both in-person at Benchmark and via Zoom.
Campers from Across the Country
Benchmark Camp is worth traveling for! Although our camp is a day program, the success of our transformational educational experience has inspired families to travel from states across the country in order to provide this unparalleled summer opportunity for their kids.
