Family STEAM Night

Each spring, Benchmark family and friends are invited to attend a fun-filled evening when the Middle School Carrington Commons, math, science, and music classrooms were transformed into a carnival-like atmosphere filled with games, puzzles, and activities focused on STEAM.

Last April, nearly 200 students and family members joined us for an evening feature fun activities that focused on Science, Technology, Engineering,  Art, and Mathematics, such as aquaponics, rockin' robots & coding, construction junction, Bernoulli principle, sound sandwich harmonica, Little Bits art, parent puzzles, iPad Stop Motion Animation, and Who Is Your Angel? art project. Students earned stamps for each completed activity to be redeemed for fun prizes and raffles. Many thanks to the students and family members who attended. Also, special thanks to all of the teachers who worked extremely hard to make the event a success, and the BPA for generously providing snacks! Family STEAM Night 2018 was generously sponsored by the Peter B. Deakins Memorial Fund.
