Family STEAM Night

Each spring, Benchmark family and friends are invited to attend a fun-filled evening when we celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math in a carnival-like atmosphere filled with games, puzzles, and activities focused on STEAM.

On April 11, 2019, nearly 200 students and family members joined us for a celebration of The Maker in YOU! -  an evening featuring fun activities that focused on Science, Technology, Engineering,  Art, and Mathematics.

Faculty and students created the most incredible activity stations and shared their maker talents with the Benchmark community! Students, along with their families, became painters, wood workers, stitchers, paper creators, mathematicians, expert game players, beaders, and robotics experts, among many other skills that were revealed!

Students and their families circulated through 11 stations spread across the lobby of the A. Palmer West Performing Arts Center and the Innovation Labs as they shared their creativity and tested their skills.

Students who completed at least seven activities were able to choose prizes and everyone was welcome to enjoy snacks provided by the BPA. What a wonderful evening to celebrate The Maker in You!

Family STEAM Night 2019 was generously sponsored by the Peter B. Deakins Memorial Fund.
