Superstars of Black History

Superstars of Black History

In honor of Black History Month, our librarian Leslie Komarnicki has created a "Superstars of Black History" series. She shares her meticulously researched profiles of historical figures daily in the library, featuring a new "superstar" each day. Now, her work is deservedly gaining a wider audience: you can find her profiles published weekly in the Delco Times!

Look out of her profiles of Black trailblazers and notable figures each Tuesday this month.

Here's the article published this week, featuring Sarah Breedlove Walker, Benjamin Banneker, Bass Reeves, Mahalia Jackson, and Ethel Payne.

Huge kudos to Mrs. Komarnicki for this terrific undertaking!
