Benchmark School Welcomes Bandana Jha as CFO

It’s not easy to start a new job in the midst of a pandemic, but Bandana Jha loves turning challenges into successes. Bandana Jha will begin in the role of Chief Financial Officer at Benchmark School on March 30, 2020. As Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Jha will serve as the lead financial strategist and provide stewardship of the school’s major assets including its financial model, its buildings and campus, its endowment, and its employees.

Ms. Jha comes to Benchmark School from All Our Kin, an organization that trains and supports childcare providers in New Haven, Connecticut, where she was the Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Jha, who lives in the area, also led the financial management of Mid-Atlantic Retina in Plymouth Meeting, Urologic Consultants of Southeastern PA in Bala Cynwyd, and Elwyn in Media. She has more than thirty years of experience in financial and operational management.

Ms. Jha has a talent for employing a clear-eyed look at what an organization needs, and engineering streamlined processes to increase efficiency and financial success. In recognition of this skill, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants honored her with the “Women to Watch” Award in 2018, and in 2017, she was named the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “CFO of the Year.”

Benchmark School is delighted to have Ms. Jha join its leadership team, and the feeling is mutual. Ms. Jha says, “Benchmark School is a treasure to our community. It has been providing innovative and research-based education for a half-century. I'm thrilled to be part of a team where everyone works tirelessly to nurture and mentor young scholars so that they can realize their full potential.”

Ms. Jha received her BA in Business Administration from Temple University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania.
