Current Employment Opportunities

Benchmark School is seeking a local artist to join the Art Department to work with middle school students for approximately 3 months. Our goal is to expose our middle school students to a working artist who will share their skill and expertise to create art with the students.

Benchmark School is seeking a school counselor, psychologist, or social worker for our grades 1-8 school for students who learn differently.  Benchmark School remains committed to the social and emotional well-being of its students.  To meet this commitment, the Child & Family Support Services Department was created to provide support and consultation for its students, parents, and staff.

Benchmark School is seeking a passionate and adaptable Music Teacher to join our community of educators dedicated to serving our neurodiverse students with learning differences in grades 1 through 8. The ideal candidate brings both a love of music and a flexible, student-centered approach to instruction and provides a balanced approach to music history, cultural context, performance, and composition.

The co-teacher is responsible for working with the head teacher to provide instruction that is respectful, achievable, and developmentally appropriate for the students in their classroom and that adheres to the curriculum for the grade/age and Benchmark School’s mission and philosophy.  The co-teacher is part of the teaching team that includes the head teacher, Department or Division Head, math teacher, Child and Family Support Services, and other teachers of the class.

The Co-Teacher will deliver instruction informed by Benchmark's research-based teaching principles, tailored to the unique learning needs of students with learning differences. This role requires close collaboration with the middle school team, including the Head Teacher, Instructional Coach, and Child and Family Support Services, to foster students’ academic and social-emotional growth. A successful Co-Teacher is dedicated to continuous professional development, actively seeking opportunities for growth within and beyond the school's provided offerings.

We are always interested in hearing from potentially interested applicants, so please feel free to send a resume for us to keep on file at humanresources@benchmarkschool.org.
