A Capital Campaign is launched when Benchmark requires additional funds to build and/or renovate its facilities or to increase the endowment funds for scholarships or staff benefits.
When it is required, a Capital Campaign occurs simultaneously with the ongoing Annual Fund. As with the Annual Fund, participation from the Benchmark community is requested and important, but always voluntary.
In 2003, Benchmark successfully completed a three-year, $6.6 million Capital Campaign. Benchmark’s A. Palmer West Performing Arts Center and Dorrance Hill Hamilton Middle School building resulted from this effort.
